Refining the MailFilter
(Quarantine
Inbox tab)
Retrieve, configure, and classify messages
in your Quarantine Inbox.
After logging
in to the Email Filter, click on the Quarantine
Inbox tab.
This page shows you all of the messages delivered to your Quarantine
Inbox instead of your regular email Inbox. By default,
only messages with specific attachments (such as .zip) should show
up here. However, if you change your Spam settings other spam messages
may also be delivered to your Quarantine Inbox (see
Getting Started – Customizing Mail Filter (Preferences).
Options for retrieving and configuring
Quarantined messages:
To delver
a good message to your email Mailbox, click on the blue
Deliver
link.
To whitelist (approve)
senders so future messages from them automatically are deliver to
your email mailbox, click on the green Whitelist
link.
To delete an
unwanted message, click on the red Delete link.
To
perform
the same action on multiple messages, click on the checkbox
next to each message and then click on the appropriate button at
the top (Deliver,
Whitelist ,
or Delete).

Options for classifying and filtering your
Quarantined messages:
Classifying:
You can use the
Quarantine Inbox screen to classify messages as “Spam”
or “Not Spam“.
To
do so: Click
on the checkbox next to the message(s) that you want to classify.
Next,
click on the
corresponding button (above the list of messages), Classify as Not
Spam or Classify as Spam
.

Classifying messages will help train the"MailFilter"
This
will increase the accuracy of email filtering for your individual
mailbox. The more messages you submit to the learning system, the
better the spam classification system will work.
Filtering:
You can use the
Quarantine Inbox screen to filter (show you) messages with specific
characteristics. For instance, you can filter on any part of the
From: address, the Subject, or even the Body of the message.
Choose
the appropriate
option in the dropdown window next to Filter:
Enter
in the text you
would like to filter for in the Pattern: field.
Click
on the Apply
Filter button to see messages that match.
