| Setting up an Iphone
For Vail.Net or Colorado.Net Email
Push the iphone button to return (or start) on the main iphone screen.
Click on the "Settings" icon (looks like a big set of gears)
Click on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
Click on "Add Account..."

Click on "Other"

Click on and enter your account information, replacing "example@vail.net"
with your actual vail.net or colorado.net email address. In specific,
click on "Name" and type in your name (vs the "John Appleseed" in the
example), click on "Address" and enter your email address instead of
"example@vail.net", click on "Password" and type in your password.
You can also click on "Description" and change the entry or just leave it
as-is. When done click on "Save".

The iphone will attempt to verify the account. This may take a minute or
two.
When the next screen comes up click on "POP" (vs IMAP).
Scroll down and set the incoming mail server information. For
"Host Name" put in either mail.vail.net or mail.colorado.net. For
"User Name" put in your username (usually the first part of your email
address before the "@"), for "Password" type in your password.

Scroll down a little more and put in the information for the
Outgoing Mail Server. This will be either "securemail.vail.net" or
"securemail.colorado.net" depending on whether your email is on
vail.net or colorado.net. Mountainmax.net users put in securemail.vail.net.

Click on "Save" on the top right hand side of the screen.
When the message "Cannot connect using SSL... Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL" pops up click on "NO"

Click on "Save" AGAIN.
When the message "This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save?" pops up, click on "Save"

Under the Accounts section of the screen you should now see your
email account listed. Click on that entry
Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section of the screen
and click on the "SMTP" entry. A screen similar to the one below will appear

Under "Primary Server" click on the securemail.vail.net or
securemail.colorado.net entry...
Turn OFF this entry, as shown in the picture below

Click on the "SMTP (back) button at the top left hand side of this screen to return to previous screen
Under the "Other SMTP Servers" section click on "AT&T SMTP Server".
Turn this server "ON" as noted in the image below

Push the iphone button to return to the main screen.
Your email is now setup on your iphone.
