E-mail Retention/Aging & Mailbox Size Limit Policy:

POP3:access to customer mailboxes on VailNet, ColoradoNet and MountainMax is provided to allow email software to pickup email from subscribers mail boxes and download that email from the VailNet, ColoradoNet or Mountainmax servers to the customers computers from time to time.

Picking Up Email: All Subscribers with email boxes on VailNet, ColoradoNet or MountainMax agree to pickup their mail in a timely fashion and not allow mailboxes to exceed 50 Megabyte in size. Because mailboxes, like PO Boxes at a post office, are not infinite in size, Subscribers are expected to pick up their email and delete it from their email Server within thirty (30) days of receipt of an email message or before mailboxes size exceeds 50 Megabytes. VailNet reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to delete mail from any mail boxes whose mail has not been downloaded in more then thirty (30) days or has exceeded the 50 Megabyte Quota. Further, if a Subscriber has selected the “leave mail on server” option, it is the “Subscriber’s” responsibility to periodically uncheck this option and download/remove all email present in their VailNet, ColoradoNet or MountainMax mail server. This is to make sure that email older than (30) days is not retained on the “mail system”.

Here are a couple of common questions regarding quotas:

What is a mail quota?
What causes a mailbox to become over quota?
What happens when my mailbox is over quota?
How do I keep my mailbox below quota?
